Senior Project Engineers & Senior Lead Project Engineer – Connection Projects (large-scale infrastructure/civil engineering projects, within the power industry)

Our client are now seeking Senior Project Engineers & Senior Lead Project Engineers to join their Connection Projects team.
The successful candidate will be involved with the Project Management of Large-Scale Infrastructure Projects – on-time and within budget, respecting established Governance and controls. The role holder will work on projects across their Entire Life Cycle – from Project Initiation, through Construction and Commissioning and right up to Project Close.
The Team
The Connection Projects team is responsible for the delivery of Electricity Generation, Demand and Interconnection Customer Connections to the Transmission system. This includes the delivery of Transmission Works for Power Generation and Demand Customer Connections at Distribution Voltage levels.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Managing projects across their entire life cycle – from initiation, through conceptual phase, feasibility studies, statutory planning assessment and consent to handover for detailed design and construction phase, working closely with internal and external stakeholders up to energisation and project close out. Projects comprise new HV stations and circuits, as well as upgrades and refurbishment projects on the existing network.
Delivery of milestones in a range of medium to large infrastructure projects to approved schedule, within budget, and following quality requirements.
About you / Successful candidates will have:
Engineering degree or equivalent, typically Senior Project Engineers with four (4) years and Senior Lead Project Engineers with six (6) plus years relevant experience/understanding of the Power industry.
Proven experience of managing a portfolio of Largescale Projects – overseeing the delivery of Complex Solutions and an ability to drive successful outcomes.
Passionate, engaging with a drive and enthusiasm to deliver on the company Strategy with and through others.
Excellent communicator, able to articulate technical concepts and analysis to non-technical audiences and business leaders.
Ability to coach and develop high performance capabilities in a changing and dynamic environment.
Strong understanding of the requirements of stakeholders and industry for the transmission system and associated developments.
Full drivers’ licence.
